Edwin Cook Papers, 1944-1984.

Ethnographic research materials documenting fieldwork conducted by anthropologists Edwin Cook and Susan Pflanz-Cook, in 1961-1963 (Cook), 1971-1972 (Cook and Pflanz-Cook), and 1981 (Cook and Pflanz-Cook), with the Manga group of the Narak language-speaking people of Western Highlands Province, Papua New Guinea. The collection includes field journals, fieldnotes, photographs, subject files, audiorecordings, transcripts of interviews, psychological test results, linguistic notes, and other research materials. The collection also includes typescripts of published and unpublished writings by Cook and Pflanz-Cook, Cook's correspondence with colleagues, and materials pertaining to Cook's career.
